Our Vacu-Switch technology now fits within indoor and underground applications where it once was thought only SF6 gas or oil switches could go. Vacu-Switch Series 1 The Vacu-Switch Series 1 is a 15.5kV, 600A, single-phase, load-interrupting switch for a delta system. Urban areas with older mineral oil switches are becoming increasingly dangerous resulting in failures such as underground vault explosions. This switch allows a utility company to replace older oil switches without high expenditures.
Vacu-Switch Series 2 The Vacu-Switch Series 2 is a 15.5kV, 600A, three-phase, load-interrupting switch for a wye system. This switch features an interlocking visible disconnect switch and a separate vacuum switch to ensure the unit is completely open before linemen can do any servicing.
